Backblaze Confirms Snow Leopard Support
Backblaze, the web backup service, has confirmed that the latest version of it’s online backup service is fully compatible with Snow Leopard – Apple’s new super-fast version of the popular Mac OS X operating system.
In a article on the company’s website, the Backblaze team confirmed that their software was compatible and provided guidance for customers on upgrading to Snow Leopard as well as some hints and tips for those choosing to do a full installation of the new software rather than simply upgrading. It was also confimed that those users restoring thir files from Apple’s Time Machine would not need to re-start their backup’s from scratch.
Answering a question about re-launching the system preferences following the upgrade to Snow Leopard the company commented “The latest version (1.0.1.190) of Backblaze has 64-bit so you will not need to re-launch the System Preferences.”
